In order to believe in a new identity, we have to prove it to ourselves"5. The value of the Journey over the End Result“We need not come to the end of the path to experience the benefits of walking it”#lifelessons #2023 #quotesoftheday #selfleadership

♣ Try as we might, we do not control every aspect of our lives. In fact, we'll drive ourselves crazy if we try - so unless you're a thrill-seeker who loves this kind of rollercoaster ride, we might as well jump on something we can control. It is all about finding a balanced approach that helps us manage the setbacks and obstacles more intentionally than reactively.✔ We absolutely can control how we respond to life and the situations it presents if we choose to. Do we make the most of this opportunity though? Far too often, if we react instantly, we can live to regret our actions - not something we need when we are already fighting battles of life, is it? Might I suggest, taking a step back, as if to look at your life from outside the situation you are in. Take time to understand and process what you are witnessing - take a deep breath and allow yourself to take-in all the information to better understand the role you can play in current situation.Take a moment to process the events of life - be it loss of a loved one, or a financial setback or a bad experience from something or someone. As you absorb the reality of the events, you buy yourself some time to analyse various scenarios in order to determine the possible outcomes of the choices before you.👀 In my view, when it comes to making difficult or complex decisions; it is best to allow yourself to acknowledge the events, absorb the impact and then re-gather your thoughts to move forward with clarity, courage and resilience. They say, your life is a total sum of your thoughts so this is your moment to use your positive thinking and optimism to rebuild with constructive thoughts. ❣ Make your decisions from a place of self-love, and being kind to yourself, as I have been talking about in recent shows too. And, let the lessons of your experiences sharpen the implement in your tool kit that enables you to move ahead with confidence and clarity. Ensure that your actions are taking you in the direction of your vision. After all, to flourish with intent is all about a clear vision, a blueprint and being able to re-focus on the skills that have aided you in the past as well as the experiences that have shown you the better way towards your future. It is time to reshape life with new energy to fulfil your dreams, taking those along on your journey whose dreams and values are aligned with your own.Quietly, and mindfully yours,Joanna...#Introverts #circleofcontrol #InclusiveWorkplace#Inclusion #FlourishingIntroverts#EmotionalWellbeing #CageRattler#FlipYourLimitingBeliefs #FrustratedToFlourishing

𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝘂𝗲𝗹: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭. 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴. 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘦." - Jeff MeyerFear is the most sinister enemy lurking in the shadows of our dreams. As FDR proclaimed in his iconic 1933 inauguration speech, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." When we let fear of failure paralyze us, our potential remains potential. Unreasoning, unjustified terror leaves us vulnerable in many ways. 1) We become prone to stagnation and inaction, missing chances to take necessary risks. 2) We miss opportunities to learn, advance, and achieve meaningful goals. 3) Fear of failure damages self-esteem and self-worth if we view setbacks as personal flaws rather than learning experiences. 4) It breeds regret over roads not taken and 5) Dissatisfaction with playing it safe.6) Perfectionistic mindsets emerge, causing chronic stress and burnout from unattainable standards. 7) Resilience suffers when we don't bounce back after stumbles. 8) Relationships strain under poor communication and teamwork. 9) Creativity and innovation decline without daring to experiment. 10) Even decision-making suffers when choices follow avoiding hypothetical failures rather than aligning actions with purpose. Rather than let fear of failure paralyze us, we can break its power by shining the light on it. Just as the monsters I saw in the closet were revealed as harmless when I got out of my bed and turned on the closet light, so my fears lose their power to illicit fear when I expose them to the light. Reflect on times when fear held 𝘆𝗼𝘂 back. What opportunities did you miss by not taking action? Consider what was really lost by not trying and not gaining experience. Owning our fears and facing them with the brilliant, power-shaking light of truth robs their control over us. In fact, this is the only way we can turn fear on its head and use it as fuel for the journey. The way of Jesus provides an excellent model. He turned failures into chances for restoration, as when he lovingly reinstated his follower Peter into leadership after Peter's denials. Education also came through failure, as when Jesus taught his followers important lessons when they struggled with difficulties. And gentle correction created realignment when He addressed unhealthy ambitions that emerged in the community. Failure on our journeys is inevitable if we step out to pursue our dreams. Being halted by fear of failure before we even start is the greatest failure of all. #stopdoubtingyourdream, #podcast #jeffmeyercoaching https://lnkd.in/ggrezcad

#Believe in yourself, in your #capabilities during #triumphs and #defeats. Feel good about who you are, regardless of what others might think of you. Learn to #value and accept yourself for who and what you are, for all the good parts, as well as the parts that you think need improvement. Believe in your own #powers, and your own #potential, and in your own innate goodness. Don’t be #/afraid to admit that you are less than perfect; this is the essence of your humanity.Shift your #focus from self-blame to self-#compassion. And never expect, assume, or demand. Just let it be, if it is meant to be it will happen. The person you are today is not responsible for being the person you once thought you would want to become. But the person you are today is absolutely responsible for the adult you want to become. You owe nothing to your younger self, but you owe everything to your future self. There are some people who put you down in life, mock your dreams, and challenge your character; they look like winners. But in actual fact, they are only voicing out of their insecurities and self-doubt. Do not let them pull you down. Believe and accept yourself and hold onto what YOU believe in. Believe we are all capable of doing better, of being kinder, braver, more honest, and more #generous—even after we have failed to do so.Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have #perseverance and, above all, confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, with #determination and #patience, must be attained. Don’t ever let your negative beliefs stand in the way of your own improvement. #Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, surround yourself with those who see greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself.Whatever you believe about yourself is what you will manifest in your actions, so believe unwaveringly in yourself and others will have no choice but to believe in you too.Remember….. You have this life to live. How do you want to spend it? Apologizing? Regretting? Questioning? Hating yourself? Running after people who don’t even see you? Be Brave, Believe in Yourself. And make a Life that makes You Proud of Yourself.God’s blessings come as a surprise but how much we receive depends on how much our hearts believe. I turn 40 today! Here are 40 lessons/closely held beliefs in life and business I've learned so far:1. Hard work is more important than talent.2. Kindness is strength, not weakness.3. Family is the foundation of everything important.4. Health is wealth.5. You can’t force people to change their minds.6. Few can picture the unknown; most need to see it to get it.7. The experts don’t always get it right.8. Life isn't supposed to be easy.9. Experiences are way more important than things.10. You need a lot less than you think to be happy.11. Buy nice or cry twice.12. No one is coming to save you.13. Few treasures in life rival a good book.14. Daily gratitude transforms your perspective.15. Your posture affects both body and mind.16. Make calling friends and family a habit.17. It's better to walk in the right direction than sprint towards the wrong one.18. Discomfort with who you were shows how far you've come.19. You are the only one in charge of your emotions.20. Fiction is just as enriching as any other kind of book.21. It's OK to be disliked.22. Comparing yourself to others is the fastest path to being unhappy.23. Much of modern life is making you physically, emotionally and spiritually sick.24. Food is much more than just nourishment, it's how we connect with each other.25. The cost of discipline is always less than the price of regret.26. It's better to try and fail than wonder "what if?"27. People are mostly guided by feelings, not facts.28. An abundance mindset multiplies opportunities; a scarcity mindset magnifies limitations.29. You can only act in the present; the past and future are out of reach.30. Leadership is the art of bringing out greatness in others.31. Children learn from what you do, not just what you say.32. Tearing others down is a lousy way to build yourself up.33. No one thinks about you as much as you think they do.34. How things look influences our choices more than we admit.35. Pessimists sound smart, optimists make money.36. Listen to understand, not to reply.37. What you want out of life is more attainable than you realize, you just have to want it badly enough.38. The fewer the words, the clearer the point.39. Don’t take yourself so seriously—no one else does.40. The adventure is right in front of you, not waiting somewhere else.

I JUST TURNED 22 THIS MONTH🎉: Here Are 22 Things I’ve Learned Along the Way1. You either become the face of the system or the face of the people. Pick your side, the rest follows.2. Beyond wealth and power, the real currency? Data and patterns. Study 'em well.3. Maturity is when you start shaping what’s right. Your belief becomes someone else’s fact.4. The richer you get, the lesser the ideas than money you’ve got.5. A leveraged opportunity ain’t always a risk—it’s knowing when the house always wins... and making sure you’re the house.6. No matter what, give it 100x focus. Even if you're serving one client, do it as if 100 are watching.7. Consistency doesn’t just get you success—it keeps it locked for the next 10 years.8. Be patient, but never just sit around waiting.9. There are only 3 types in the system. The pawn who gets caught first. The knight, a two-sided blade. And the queen—power in all directions.10. Never confuse pleasure with happiness. One’s a night, the other’s a lifetime.11. When under pressure, stop worrying about the future, and don’t fear losing past progress. That makes the situation 50% safer.12. In every problem, you get 2 choices: act for the solution or act for the noise it brings.13. Everything’s connected... until you ARE.14. Be a playmaker, not just a finisher. The longer you commit, the greater the reward.15. It’s okay to lose hope. But don’t stop working for yourself.16. Treat power like an old friend. Respect it, never compete it.17. Your future holds many realities. One by your family, one by your friends, but the strongest? That’s the one you hold.18. People are psychological. They don’t need a reason behind your work; they need the reason behind their reason.19. True glory? It’s helping someone reclaim themselves.20. In your mind, it’s you talking to yourself. Either you leave a million-dollar idea behind, or you make a million out of nothing.21. Fail as many times as needed. Just make sure every time you do something, it’s slightly better than the last.22. Everything we do, everything we earn, eventually leads to the only thing that speaks after us—THE legacy.Curious to learn more?Dive into the unseen forces shaping our reality. “The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit.” - Nelson HendersonThis one hit home really close, as most of my life I have been (still are I guess) too attached to what I have, to what I have built, or think I have built, to what I have delivered and accomplished, to what I been part of, even to what I am or think I am right now … until a few weeks back, and now finishing reading this book, I realized I do not own anything other than the experiences I have had, good and bad, fun and boring, painful and joyful, as well as the dreams I might have now about my desired future self, which I can manage and change anytime, but even more, the only thing I am certain I have, is what I am right now, which will dissipate in an instant, opening the very next moment that is in front of me, which clearly is also not 100% granted or certain. With this mindset, life turns being a blessing each and every time you are allowed to breath and be/feel alive. To me it is even clearer that the thing that will add most value in life, is to dedicate any present moment to take actions, aligned with our values and purpose (if we know it), and give any results and deliverables back to others - what a powerful thought on freedom and liberation 💪 (and this “give back” mindset can be practiced from any role and position we have in society, a company, a family, a group of friends, our community, etc., even more if you are in a position of power and influence)😍 If we all would apply this mindset, on our day to day tasks, simply by statistics, we will not need to worry too much about our own comfort, as most likely we will receive any “service”, “help” and “good” you might need, back from somebody in the proximity of your network of friends, family, colleagues, or even from ourselves, as let’s not forget our relationship with ourselves is the most important one, which can lift us up, or also turn off our dreams forever.Dreaming on an ideal state of humanity is for free, right? let's start thinking differently about "possessions", material and non material, and who owns what. At the end of the day, we will all leave this world the same way we arrived to it, with no material possessions, so the only thing we can truly do for it, is leaving it with experiences, imprints on others, greater wisdom, and hopefully in a better shape than when we were born. Defining "better", is where I think we struggle ;-)#keepdreaming #keepinspiring #give2serve

The Gift of Choice and ResponseHave you ever felt like a victim of circumstance, trapped by past struggles and hardships? The notion of a predetermined destiny can be suffocating, but what if I told you that you hold the pen to your life's story? We often hear the phrase, "life is what you make it," and it's true. We have the power of choice to respond to the experiences that come our way. When faced with a negative experience, it's important to acknowledge and process our emotions. Such experiences can leave us wounded and unsure of our next steps. While it's natural to feel anger, sadness, or frustration, it's crucial not to let these emotions consume us. Instead, we can use them as fuel for personal growth.Within our wounds lies hidden potential and an opportunity to rise above adversity. Our Creator has gifted us with the power of choice. Every experience has a purpose, reason, and significance, and the outcome depends on how we choose to respond. You can either let negative experiences define and limit you or respond in a way that leads to positive changes, growth, and improvement. It is through our response to adversity that we reveal our strength and resilience.Remember the formula:Experience (Stimuli) + Response = Results Life will continue to present challenges, but in those moments, we have the power to choose our response. We can learn invaluable lessons, find our fighting spirit, become better leaders, grow as humans, and do more good.1. Practice self-reflection. By reflecting on what went wrong, we gain valuable insights into ourselves. This self-awareness allows us to identify areas for improvement and make necessary changes.2. Shift your perspective. Instead of seeing challenges as roadblocks, view them as stepping stones. Ask yourself, "What can I learn from this experience?" Negative experiences prompt us to reassess our priorities and values, leading to a more fulfilling life.3. Exercise self-compassion. Be kind to yourself, acknowledge your feelings, and give yourself time to heal. Remember that progress, not perfection, is essential.4. Seek support. Remember that you're not alone. Reach out to friends, family, or professionals who can provide guidance and encouragement. Surrounding yourself with positive influences helps maintain a hopeful mindset.5. Focus on action. Instead of dwelling on the past, channel your energy into positive actions. Set goals, learn new skills, and take steps toward your dreams. You are not a victim of your circumstances. You have the power to choose your response and turn adversity into your greatest teacher. Embrace the power of choice, rewrite your destiny, and create a life of growth, resilience, and self-discovery.No matter what life throws at you, you have the power to choose your own path and determine your own destiny. You can choose to become the author of your own, brilliant future.
